Overview
Dr. Gregoire is the Director of Academic Affairs in the Department of Allied Health Sciences and the Director of the Department’s Academic Advising Center. Dr. Gregoire began her career at the University of Connecticut in 2001 as the Academic Advising Coordinator at the Avery Point campus. She joined the Department of Allied Health Sciences (formerly the School of Allied Health) in her current position in 2003.
In her position as Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Gregoire provides leadership and coordination of the activities associated with specified aspects of student services and serves as the official representative of the Department of Allied Health Sciences on matters relating to academic affairs. Under the direction of the Department Head, she oversees the administrative planning and evaluation of policies, procedures and services as they relate to academic affairs in the Department of Allied Health Sciences. Additionally, she assists the Department Head in fulfilling the mission through the development and implementation of new programs, majors and certificate programs.
As Director of the Allied Health Sciences Academic Advising Center she provides services to over 450 undergraduate and graduate students in the department and to prospective students with respect to planning their academic programs and formulating career goals. She advises students in making decisions related to course selection and registration, majors, admission to graduate school, and serves as a resource to students, parents, faculty and staff in the department and to the university community with respect to Allied Health and Health related careers. Her areas of interest are clinical reasoning ability and student persistence in academics.
