Biography

Angela L. LaRue, MPH, CG(ASCP)^CM MB^CM is an Instructor-in-Residence in the Department of Allied Health Sciences and Program Director of the Diagnostic Genetic Sciences (DGS) Program. She earned her BS in Diagnostic Genetic Sciences and Master of Public Health from UConn and has experience working in both clinical and research laboratories.

Angela is an active member of the Association of Genetic Technologists (AGT), where she serves as Membership Director and Education Committee Representative for the New England Region and New York State. She is also a member of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) and the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP).

Prior to joining academia, Angela worked in the life sciences industry in sales, marketing, and business development. She is passionate about educating and mentoring future genetic laboratory professionals and advancing the field of diagnostic genetic sciences.
