Dr. Aviana Rosen has been a UConn Husky since 2010, and is thrilled to join the UConn Waterbury AHS department. At UConn, she earned her BA in Psychology & Human Development and Family studies, worked in the Allied Health Sciences Department as a Project Manager on international public health projects, and more recently earned her MS and PhD in Health Promotion Sciences. Dr. Rosen has been teaching undergraduate and honors courses in the AHS department since 2020, and was awarded the CAHNR Graduate Student Teaching Excellence Award this year. Her research background involves global health in primarily Latino populations including mental health, HIV prevention, and obesity prevention; with additional experience in mHealth, sexual minority health, and substance use.
